Our son has been at this karate studio since he was about 9 years old (he's now 19), and we are so thankful for Mr. Mark, Ms. Gail, and the other great instructors he has had over the years. This is an excellent studio, teaching the art and skill of Kenpo, but also instilling a sense of confidence, camaraderie and respect in all of the students. It is a great studio for kids and adults alike, and you can be sure that if you get a belt from this studio, you will have earned it and be well qualified to receive it.
Highly recommend Lawler's Kenpo studio whether for yourself, children or as a family. Mr Mark, Ms Gail and all the instructors not only know the art but how to effectively teach the art. We look forward to every class and even finding ourselves scheduling activities around class times so we don't miss a class. If you have any interest in martial arts, highly recommend stopping in to talk with no only Mr Mark but anyone in the studio.
Mark is the best. He is a purist. He is interested in promoting well being and providing you a genuine understanding and appreciation of the martial arts
We moved to the area from CA about a year ago and my son wanted to continue his Kenpo karate. We did a search for Kenpo in the area and came up with Lawler's studio. Our sensi in CA called Mark to check him out for us and turns out they knew each other and he gave us a double thumbs up. We have been more than happy!!! Mark and his instructors are first class in every aspect! The classes are informative, fun, and a great workout for the kids. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone!
